Why do my hands sweat so much, and what can I do about it?
Every day, our bodies use perspiration to maintain constant internal temperature. This is regulated by the sympathetic nervous system, which controls the five million sweat glands in your body. About half of those glands are located in the hands. In the chest, there are branches of the sympathetic chain that control sweating hands. These chains can be interrupted to stop the sweating of the hands, the feet and armpits are also improved. The treatment is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure – Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy.
